Personality: A quiet loner, Souji Seta has had a tough life because of his parents' ever-changing job situation. Although he remains friendly and outgoing toward strangers and befriends others quite easily, he is able to detach himself emotionally from other people so that he doesn't feel the pain of loss when the time comes to finally depart his latest residence. However, because of the revelations given to him in the Velvet Room, as well as his growing affections toward his young cousin Nanako, Souji may very well find himself obtaining the attachments he denied himself for so long.
History: Souji has never remained in one place for very long. His parents' jobs take them everywhere, both throughout Japan as well as overseas, which left their only son to fend for himself more often than not. In spite of this lack of parental nurturing, he managed to do well enough for himself, as well as learn some important skills along the way, such as cooking. Yet he never allowed himself to get too close to the people in any given area, knowing he would have to leave them eventually.
Once again, Souji finds himself thrust into another prefecture of Japan because of his parents' work, but this time he is staying with family for a change. His uncle on his mother's side, Ryotaro Dojima, has agreed to allow his nephew to stay with him and his daughter, Nanako, in the remote rural village of Inaba for one year. Expecting a quiet, dull year away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, Souji never dreamed of the life-changing adventure he would experience... or the bonds he would form that would last forever.
