Name: Jurou Himura
Gender: Male
Height: 6'2”
Weight: 164 lbs
Age: 28
Class: N/A
Clubs: N/A
Likes: Power, himself, chess, opera, a nice Chianti, dogs, reading.
Dislikes: His parents, humanity, those he sees as inferior to himself, loud music, television.
Personality: Jurou is a very morally bankrupt person with a superiority complex and overwhelming contempt for anyone he sees as inferior to himself, which is most people. He is also very self-serving and once he sets his sights on something that he wants he will not give in or bend at all until he has gotten what he set out to achieve and will use any methods necessary to get there. Including murder if need be, however he does so hate to get his hands dirty and would much rather manipulate other people into committing such acts if they become necessary.
Jurou, despite his contempt for most of the people around him, is rather skilled at putting on a show for those around him. As his goals are often set high he has become quite adept at telling people what they want to hear and manipulating them towards his own ends. He sees people as little more than tools to be used and then discarded once they have become dulled and useless to him. He honestly can't fathom most emotions such as “Love” or “Sympathy”, seeing them as little more than obstacles that get in the way of achieving one's goals and desires, not aided further by the fact he was shown very little of either as a child.
Jurou also has a deep loathing of women due to the fact his mother was abusive towards him and unfaithful towards his father. He now sees women as little more than manipulative whores who want little more than to cause you as much pain as possible before moving onto their next victim. To this day being alone in a room with a woman makes him uneasy to a degree that frightens even him sometimes. His normal composed demeanour quickly falls apart once left alone with a member of the opposite sex and he suddenly becomes frightened and quick to anger and very likely to snap. As such he tries to distance himself from such situations as much as possible, as snapping would hurt the appearance he has spent so long building up.
History: Jurou was not born into a happy household, his mother was abusive and an alcoholic, his father was never home, often working away on business, and never calling on the phone or keeping in touch through any other methods. Jurou quickly came to despise both of his parents, hating his mother for reasons stated before and his father for never helping him to grow or mature in anyway and never even being present to begin with. He quickly came to the conclusion that they were both trying to keep him down, jealous of him perhaps, it made some sense to him, they saw his superiority early and tried to keep him down, certain that he would rise above them, and they didn't want that, no, they couldn't be outdone by their own son. That must have been the reason for how he was treated. What other reason could there be?
So, to spite them he began working harder, determined to rise above his parents despite their obvious efforts to keep him down. That would show them. But then, he quickly came to see the world around him, and he swiftly came to the conclusion that not only were his parents trying to keep him down, everyone was. The children at school who bullied him, the teachers that ignored him, the people who shunned him because he wasn't “cool” enough or whatever contrived reason they came up with. All of it was nonsense to him. A futile attempt to hide the fact no one wanted him to succeed in life. All of them wanted to see him fail. But he would show them. He would work even harder, he would rise above them all. If people wanted to keep him down he would just use them as tools. If they don't care about him why should he care about them? He'd play them against each other, themselves, whatever it took to further his own goals, to prove his superiority to everyone around him.
Eventually, Jurou noticed something very strange happened once a day, at midnight in fact, everyone would morph into a coffin and strange creatures would begin roaming around. He was much too afraid of the beasts to venture outside, he would simply shut himself into a cupboard, wardrobe, whatever was nearby until the creatures would vanish again and everything would revert back to normal. He was never able to come up with a reason for why this happened, but, one day they just stopped coming, and he forgot all about it. All the memories of the event just vanishing from his mind.
Life then continued for Jurou much the same as before. He would work his hardest to achieve his goals, the people around him would attempt to put him down again. He would being to see patterns in human behaviour and start using that to his advantage, using this knowledge to play them against each other, to manipulate people towards his goals, life began to go well for Jurou, he managed to slowly amass wealth through his efforts once he left school, he came into possession of several small businesses and he began slowly approaching his goals.
Then, one day, everything changed for Jurou. He was simply going about his day as always, when he happened to lean upon a flatscreen television and to his surprise fell right through it, landing in a strange world filled with fog. He had no idea what to make of it. He wandered around the world for sometime before he came across what he never expected to see again. The home he was raised in by his by his abusive mother and absentee father. Jurou nervously entered the building to encounter his Shadow. The Shadow began to belittle Jurou, pointing out all his flaws and telling him just how worthless he is. But Jurou didn't deny his Shadow. He accepted it. He was aware of what he had become. He didn't deny it. He was well aware of it. He embraced it. Knowing full well in his mind that the good never succeed in life, and if you want to be powerful you have to disregard most things such as morals.
Jurou then awakened to his Persona, now with a new goal in mind, to use this new power he had been granted to it's full advantage. He had been granted a great power, it would be a shame to waste it after all.
Jurou proceeded to wander the strange world he was in for sometime before he eventually came across a strange television set. He entered through one, so it made sense this would be his escape. He climbed through the television and emerged again in a shopping mall in a rural city. This was a far cry from his home in Port Island, but he was able to easily return back to his home again and explain his absence to the people who had noticed his disappearance.
Now Jurou continues to plan what to do with his new power. He will need to do some research into the matter before he is able to decide how to fully use the power of his Persona.
