Somewhere fun to post little notes and ideas that you have which pertain to your head-canon of the characters. It's a fun way for members to get to know how we roleplay our characters and discuss ideas and differing opinions, I suppose. Feel free to come back and edit your list at any time. Naoto Head-Canon Notes:
· Every Saturday after school, Naoto and Chie get together at one of their houses (they switch off) and solve jigsaw puzzles together without fail. They usually work on those with 1000-1500 pieces, but if they're tired or sick, they'll instead do a smaller one (300-500 pieces) and spend the rest of the time together helping each other with studies, talking, or enjoying a movie together. And there is always tea. Chie, in a sense, is like the elder sister that Naoto herself never had--a female role in her life that she very much needs--however, Rise is still the only person that Naoto would consider her "best friend."
· She would never admit it, but Naoto has a secret weakness for cake. She absolutely loves cake. All different types and flavours, her favourite being most anything that includes strawberries. However, she dislikes the cakes with strange "syrups" in them.
· Naoto is very possessive of that which she believes is hers. She doesn't become violent or overly cruel by any means, but she will try to send a clear message that others need to stay away. This comes into play particularly when something relates to Souji. Whenever she feels another girl is getting to close or attempting to flirt with him, she will subconsciously start walking close to him or using much sharper words to the "threat" in question. It isn't that she wishes to be cruel, but there are certain things she doesn't enjoy sharing.
· Kittens. She has a huge soft-spot for kittens and cats. She adores them, and wishes nothing more than to have one of her own. However, she's allergic to them and her grampa hasn't allowed it in fear that her allergies are too severe to handle it. In reality, they aren't that bad at all--one allergy pill clears her right up--but her grandfather tends to be overprotective about it at times.
· While she has spent a great deal of time with the Investigation Squad and become more open with them as her friends, Naoto is still very much socially inept. Unfortunately, she was nearly sixteen by the time she met all of them, and even now, she often struggles with some of the social norms. There are some bridges in that sense that she will never fully be able to build, but she has gotten better. Often times, she will phrase something that sounds completely logical to her, but to the standard person may sound as if it's meant to be innuendo for something else. Rarely does she notice this mistake until someone points it out or makes a comment on it that will cause her to realise the subtext she never meant to create.
· Childishness frustrates her beyond all reason. She has been trying to work on this for a long time, but it still manages to get under her skin easily. When it comes from a child that is one thing, but when someone her own age or older feels the need to wallow in "angst" or whine about something, she tends to get annoyed and frustrated quickly. It isn't to say that she hates people like this, but as someone who was almost always treated like a child by the adults around her when she would fight so hard to be like an adult and hold a mature and grown-up exterior, the wires in her mind tend to get crossed and it leaves her upset. ...But she really is trying to get better about this.

Yosuke Head-Canon Notes: - Yosuke harbors a secret shame which he would never admit to anyone. He secretly likes the Magical Witch Detective series of books. It is a secret he plans to take to his grave.
- Yosuke is very fond of stand-up comedy and fancies himself as a comedian as well. He doesn't think he'd be able to work up the courage to ever step foot onto a stage, but he has his dreams.
- Yosuke has a secret passion for art and quite enjoys painting and drawing. He's not exactly the most talented guy in the world, but he does alright. Though he doesn't believe he's very good at all and has taken to hiding most of what he does out of the way in a box in the back of his closet.
- Yosuke has some secret conflicting emotions relating to Naoto. On the one hand he finds her and the way she acts cute in the same way one would find their younger sister cute. But, on the other hand, he feels slightly jealous of her relationship with Souji. Not the romantic aspect that is, but the rather the fact that she has become a lot closer to his best friend than he is. But then on the other, other hand he's also happy that they've found people so perfect for each other. All in all he's not sure what to think.

Yukiko Head-Canon Notes: - Unless it is busy at the inn, or the weather happens to be bad, Yukiko goes jogging in the early morning before school and chores. She didn't always do this, but after joining the Investigation Team, she felt the need to exercise more so she could keep up with her more athletic teammates. Too embarrassed to actually venture out into town, she usually just does laps around the inn.
- The trip to Port Island wasn't the first time Yukiko played the King's Game (hence why she knew the rules to the game). Once she was old enough, she was invited by the inn staff to play with them after hours. It's sort of become a tradition at the inn after the busy season ends, not that any of them would admit it.
- Despite being conscious about her weight and what she eats, Yukiko is surprisingly possessive when it comes to her food to the point of acting childish when it is pilfered from her. There have been many instances in which she has become upset about having her food stolen, though she usually only voices her distress—whether it be anger or despair—when she's around her friends.

Chie Head-Canon Notes · There is no one in the world that Chie trusts more than Naoto. It's not really logical, since they haven't known each other that long- really, it should be Yukiko, or Yosuke. But Naoto is the one that Chie always knows will come if she calls, the one she knows can protect the both of them if need be. She loves her friends all equally, but she would lay her life in Naoto's hands if it was necessary, and that almost scares her.
· The idea of having children frightens her. She knows, logically, that whatever prevented her mother from having children after her is clearly not affecting Chie, but the fear is still there, and it's not that she would lose her own life in the process, but that she would lose the baby and become obsessed like her mother.
· Her father does minor martial arts moves for the sake of his knee, which was badly injured in an accident years ago and still hurts and gives out on him at times. Chie, when she was young, didn't understand, and simply thought it was cool. This passion has stayed with her throughout her life, and she still thinks it's cool, but when she 'trains', she's not just looking to be stronger. She's testing out moves that could help her father strengthen his leg muscles to support the bad knee without straining it.
· Even though they're best friends, Chie feels like she's in debt to Yukiko. The dog that Chie took in for Yukiko became like an adopted son for her mother, and has gone a long way towards helping heal her mind, even if she's not all there yet. She will never be able to thank Yukiko, or Yukiko's mother, enough for that.
· Only Naoto and Yukiko are allowed at Chie's house at any time, day or night, because when her parents are home, she feels awkward allowing herself to laugh or feel happy. The aura in the house is kind, but also very sad. Yukiko and Naoto can show the proper deference to the sadness hanging in the air without slipping up- she's really not sure that anyone else could, so anyone else who comes over has to be scheduled around her parents being out of the house for work and support group meetings.
