Personality: Clumsy and loud, Yosuke Hanamura has a tendency to put his foot in his mouth, however due to his father's position as the manager of Junes Yosuke is often treated as the unofficial complaint box pf sorts and as such tries to maintain a professional tone when dealing with customers and employees of the store. Not that he is always successful, mind.
Yosuke, being from the city, finds rural life in Inaba dull to the point of resentment, the only highlight of it for him being the friends he has made there. This feeling was not helped due to the hatred directed towards him due to the people of the town associating him with little more than Junes and as such the closing of many family run businesses. However over time his feelings towards the town gradually shift away from the feeling of resentment.
Yosuke has a strong sense of right and wrong and always makes a least an effort to do what he thinks is right. Due to his outspoken nature Yosuke is likely to act on or speak up if he sees something happening he disagrees with strongly enough.
History: Yosuke Hanamura is the son of the branch manager of shopping mall Junes, which recently opened in Inaba. So his family moved to the small country town from the city. He had moved around in the past due to his father's work, but never to such a small town, as such, Yosuke found it hard living in somewhere such as Inaba with many of the locals resentful that Junes was stealing business and his disappointment of how boring the place was. He however liked Saki Konishi, a part time worker at Junes. It was her death at the hands of a serial murder that gave Yosuke a reason to invesetigate the 'Midnight Channel' with the friends he had recently made, Chie and Souji.
Within the world inside the TV Yosuke encountered his Shadow, his suppressed frustration of not being someone cooler and special, instead of a lonely, disliked son of an invading. Managing to face himself and accept his shadow, the shadow transformed into the persona Jiraiya.
It was soon after this that the small group of friends came together to form an investigation team, determined to find the culprit of the recent murders.
