Likes:
Boxing ; One doesn't become the captain of a team they don't like. Though intially Akihiko didn't have a passion for the sport, he just wanted to learn how to fight. He soon grew to love the sport anyhow.
Sports ; In his mind, sports are just another way to test himself to get stronger and stronger. He does find them genuinely fun, but having fun isn't his first priority.
Competition ; Though not arrogant about it, he likes winning. Who doesn't After all? It all plays a part in his getting stronger.
Meat & savory foods ; It's a man's meal, with a man's needed nutritional value. Sort of. For him, nothing beats a good beef bowl.
Dislikes:
Sweets ; It might be due to how he's unwillingly showered in them by fans, but he just doesn't have the taste preference for sugar. He doesn't eat too many sweets anyhow, so even low-caliber candy seems too sugary for him.
Haughtiness ; Nothing pisses him off more than a holier-than-thou attitude.
Injuries ; They're like throwing a stick into the gears of a working machine, crippling his path to strength. He can't stand being doted on when injured either, he just wants to hurry up and heal.
Reminiscing ; He's not really a nostalgic person, mostly because many of his memories are painful ones. There are only a few times when he'll think that hard about the past.
Personality:
Headstrong and confident, Akihiko let's little get in his way on the path to becoming as strong as he can possibly be. He's a determined young man with a strong sense of justice and a close bond with his friends and comrades. He'll do everything in his power to help when the need is there, though has very little concern for his own well-being in such circumstances.
He's usually a clear thinker, but like everyone else, he has wounds that -- when pressed -- can throw him into a fit of anger. There are times when he's easy to bait; he'll never back down from a challenge, after all. He's often short with people who irritate him, but one way or another will apologize when he's stepped out of line.
Unfortunately, Akihiko's a bit strange as a teenage boy, being less than hormonal. He can get flustered when things come to the female persuasion, yes, but he's so very socially obtuse more often than not. He can be oblivious to another's feelings, but is always honest and straight-forward.
History: Not knowing his parents, Akihiko grew up as an orphan with his younger sister Miki, and his best friend Shinjiro. The orphanage they lived in wasn't quite prosperous, but enough to house children. The house caught fire, however, and Miki didn't survive. Feeling helpless, Akihiko made it his goal to keep getting stronger, so he would never have to let anyone die again.
He picked up boxing because of its simplicity and strength-building. Joining the team at his middle school, he soon became a champion of the sport, never losing a match. It was after another successful tournament did Mitsuru Kirijo approach him, gun in hand. He was quite ready to believe she was absolutely crazy, until the first time he experienced the dark hour, and summoned his Persona. Convinced, he agreed to join S.E.E.S. upon transferring to Gekkoukan, and moving into the dorms.
Shinjiro, not wanting to be left behind, joined S.E.E.S. as well, much to Akihiko's displeasure. He was worried about his childhood friend, and if he could truly handle his persona. And things were fine at first, until a haywire mission caused Shinjiro to lose control and kill an innocent bystander by accident. Even though Shinji refused to join the group again, Akihiko continued to train and become stronger, and tried once more to contact Shinjiro after more people joined S.E.E.S.
Appearance: Akihiko is a tough-skinned, lean young man with silver hair cropped short. His eyes are an olive-brown colour, and just above his left eye is a white bandage. He is of average height, most of his weight being muscle. He prefers red clothing, but cares little for fashion. Though he's unaware of it, most find him quite good looking.
Evoker: Standard evoker, though his is less polished than some of the others' because it's seen more wear and tear of battle over time.
Weapon: Fists & knuckles.
