All forums have rules, and ours aren't too picky. Most of these are common sense, ja?
1. First off, follow the Proboards TOS. I'm sure no one here has actually read them, but again, common sense.
2. Stay literate. We leik h8 zeh ch4t -sp34k and if adm1ns c it u are gonna b kicked off leik... b4 u can say Per-so-na. Please. We're sure everyone here is literate enough to write a complete sentence. First or third person is your own choice (though third is recommended), but please put effort into your posts.
3. Each member may only have two canon characters. This may change later, but in hopes that having a limit may attract more people (as more characters will be open) only two for now.
4. The number of OC's you control is completely your own. Make up as many characters as you wish--go wild--but don't overwhelm yourself. With OC's a Persona may change ONCE as they do in in the game, but you MAY NOT have more than one Persona. Souji Seta, the protagonist, is an obvious exception. However, what grade, year, and arcana your OC are is completely your own.
5. Port Island was added as a location because it appears in the Persona 4 game. Despite this, we are still a Persona 4 based forum. Please follow those ideas when making your OCs (no evokers or Persona appearing outside the TV World.)
6. Do not God-mod. Members will have three chances if they are found doing this. If reports are made on a member multiple times or they do not stop, they will be banned. Admins reserve the right to ask someone to ask members to rewrite their posts.
7. Romance is allowed, but turn it into a drama-fest and both characters must agree to the paring. No forcing yourself on anyone, as no one will like that. If you want the paring to appear on the approved parings list, PM one of the Admins, and we will change the list accordingly. We do that so that there aren't any major arguments.
8. To prove you have read the rules, please post the two lines of Pursuing my True Self for canon characters or Burn my Dread for OC's at the end of your application where indicated.
9. Keep your language clean. Don't swear if you don't have to. And if you must, keep it to a minimum. Words like bitch don't have to be censored, and neither do F-bombs, but if you're doing it constantly, you might be in danger of violating the rules.
10. NOTHING above a PG-13 rating can be in an unmarked thread. The highest rating we can allow (because of the proboards ToS) is PG-15. Please keep mature themes implied. We know the Persona themes can be very intense, but take care to not go overboard.
11. Site advertisements go either in your profile or the advertisement board.
12. When you sign up for your profile, it doesn't matter if you choose a canons initial or "mastered" Persona. That's completely the member's own choice. However, you cannot give a skill to a Persona wouldn't have it. Example: Yosuke's Persona wouldn't know bufu skills and Kanji's Persona isn't suddenly going to learn agi.
13. When in doubt, PM an admin or post a question in the Admin Help board. Help board threads are preferred, but if you're really uneasy or embarrassed about it, PMs are fine. However, PMs will likely have slower responses.
14. Have we mentioned literacy? PLEASE be literate. One will not be hounded for every comma or question mark, but please put the effort forth. We understand that English is not everyone's first language, but even then you can at least use spell-check or try to check. Reading a post aloud before posting it often helps.
15. As stated before, OCs are fine, but you cannot make an OC related to a canon character.
16. Canon characters are important and in high demand. As such, you need to be active if you have a canon character. If you suddenly become inactive, you have two weeks before the character will be opened again.
17. If you are using a canon character and your profile is frozen, when you return you may claim the character once more, but this can only be done ONCE. After that, you are out of luck and must pick another or stick to OCs.
18. OCs do not need to be reclaimed, as it it unlikely that someone is going to come along and try to claim your character.
19. If you are leaving the forum permanently, please leave a note in the correct forum section and leave a reason if possible. This is so that if someone is using a canon and they leave officially, there will be no arguments if someone else claims that character.
20. The lyrics mentioned earlier as proof that you read the rules should be posted in blue for canons and red for OCs.
20. Most importantly, have fun! We're here to enjoy ourselves, not hurt one another. So please be nice to each other and take personal issues outside of the forum.
